Hostal Orleans - Barcelona

The hostal managed to be inconvenient. If only they had provided some sort of complimentary treat for my struggles, perhaps this review would've been kind, but alas. I was positively overwhelmed by mediocrity instead.

Good location; directly across from the Estacion Franca, and about a 10 minute walk to La Rambla; anything closer would probably have been too noisy. Staff was very friendly, were able to leave our luggage there no problem, and the room was cleaned every day. Excellent value for money.

A bit dated, but if you're not fussy about that, then I would definitely recommend it!

My wife says that the room felt a bit cramped for our family size.

The location is fantastic! Just across from the train station, I found it very convenient for my travels. The staff was friendly and always ready to help with a smile. My room had a lovely view of the city that added charm to my stay.

I experienced some noise from the common areas during my nights.

Having a communal space with coffee was a nice touch, especially with our two kids in tow. A real highlight was being within walking distance to the beach!

My wife says that room size was limited for a family.

Location in the building (3rd floor) no lift. With Luggage to heavy and not help.

The staff was super friendly and helped me find a gluten-free restaurant nearby. Plus, the location is fantastic, just a short walk from the barceloneta metro station. My room was cozy and equipped with air conditioning, a nice touch for my stay.

Looked newly refurbished: everything was very clean. Bed was new. There was A/C (although I didn't used it) and small tv. Very good value for money.

Windows did not stopped noise from the road. But at this price/location, I was expecting worse conditions so I was happy. Staff wasn't friendly.

The room we booked was budget and nice looking with snacks available from a vending machine.

Fabulous Stay in a Convenient Spot!

I loved my visit as this place is perfect for exploring the historic heart of Barcelona. It's right across from the train station, and there's a nice grocery store just a minute away. My room had a cozy balcony with thick curtains for a good night's sleep and a lovely hot shower whenever I needed it. The only downside was the noise. I could hear conversations from the lounge area at times, which interrupted my peace.
